Discover University is here and that means it is time to head into Create-a-Sim. Whenever there is a new Sims 4 pack, the very first thing I do is fire up CAS and create a brand new character around the theme of the pack.
Obviously, Discover University lends itself to a student Sim so I knew I wanted to create a character with the new academic aspiration. I also knew that I didn’t want the stereotypical nerdy type. Why does being smart have to equal disheveled?
Nope. I wanted my Sim student to be smart and hip. That is the inspiration that lead to Alima Baddour.
The first thing to come together when creating Alima was her fashion. I wanted to make use of the, recently released, Muslim-inspired CAS items but I wanted to blend them with the Discover University looks.
Her outfit includes that new cute green jacket and black jeans combo. There are lot of things I like about those items but most of all I am just so happy to have more options for jeans that don’t have super low waists.
I mean, really. Why do so many of the pants options for women in The Sims 4 leave her midriff exposed? I like making Sims of all sizes, shapes and personalities and some of those personalities require a hidden bellybutton.
Once the base of Alima’s outfit was determined, I moved onto the finishing touches. Having her wear a hijab was always going to happen. Her makeup also had to be impeccable. Perfect dark red lips smokey but respectable eyes.
Alima Baddour is truly beautiful.
She needed something extra though. A finishing touch to give her a real and unique personality. The new body piercings in The Sims 4 delivered. An eyebrow and a nose piercing topped off her look in perfect fashion.
Of course, being a university student has a lot more to do with what is inside the head than the clothing on your back. Alima needed a personality to match her beauty. I gave her the genius, good and ambitious traits. Ideal for fulfilling her academic ambitions.
Alima is ready to discover university. Just as soon as she decides between Britechester or Foxbury.
